DAY IN SPORTS: RESEDA'S YEATTS NEAR PERFECT.

Stephanie Yeatts stared perfection in the face Monday as Reseda High won its first game of the season, 9-0 over visiting Sherman Oaks CES of Reseda.

The senior pitcher walked the first batter in the sixth inning of the nonleague game - the only SOCES SOCES Sherman Oaks Center for Enriched Studies  runner to reach base.

Yeatts retired the first 15 batters she faced.

``I was pretty mad considering that one of those balls should of been called a strike,'' Yeatts said. ``It was a pretty good game.''

Yeatts, who struck out 14, also helped the Regents (1-1) offensively with a single and a triple. She two RBI RBI

Lelis Henriquez hit a two-run triple in the fourth while Veronica Aguilar and Andrea Bermas each had two hits.

--Valiants stopped: Capistrano Valley Christian rallied to beat St. Genevieve 10-15, 15-7, 15-10, 15-10.
