 men's tennis tournament Saturday in Athens, Ga.

Kim retired with cramps during a rain delay, but Stanford (24-1) advanced with a 4-1 victory over Pepperdine (19-8).

Rain delayed the UCLA-Washington and SMU-Mississippi State matches until today.

All quarterfinal matches are scheduled for Monday. The tournament finals will be Wednesday instead of Tuesday.

In other matches Saturday, Georgia beat California 4-0; Tennessee beat South Alabama South Alabama is a term used to describe various parts of southern Alabama. Its usage does not however reflect a strictly defined geographic region. In the second game, Casey Markovic of Bell-Jeff of Burbank scored 10 points and had six rebounds in a losing effort for the Santa Fe League in a 81-64 loss to the Camino Real League.
