The Cal State Northridge men's soccer team ran into both Wednesday night against The Master's College History

, but the Matadors finally overcame the visiting Mustangs 1-0 on Federico Arroyo's overtime goal in the nonconference match.

Northridge (5-4) dominated the second half and most of overtime, and at one point the Matadors took 11 consecutive shots. But Master's goalie Eric Pattison was tough, recording 10 saves and stopping several shots point-blank.

With almost 11 minutes gone in overtime, Arroyo chipped a right-footed shot over Pattison's head for the game-winner.

D'Ambra sparkles: Cal State Northridge junior Paul D'Ambra was named Big Sky Conference co-golfer of the week after shooting 2-under-par 66-76-142 to finish third individually in leading the Matadors to a sixth-place tie in the 16-team Viking Invitational at Sunriver, Ore.
