 (78) and Andrew Lawson Andrew Cowper Lawson (1861-1952) was a professor of geology at the University of California, Berkeley.

He was the editor of the 1908 report on the 1906 San Francisco Earthquake which became known as the "Lawson Report".

--Foothill tournament: Defending league individual champion Grace Woo of Burbank shared medalist honors at 33 in her first appearance of an injury hampered season, and Melanie DeLeon also shot 33 at par-31 El Cariso GC to help third-ranked Saugus (20-0) win its second league match.

Saugus finished with a 206 to edge No. 6-ranked Valencia (18-3) by two shots, and third-place Burroughs of Burbank (224) finished a shot ahead of defending champion Hart of Newhall.
