Montclair Prep baseball coach Mark Saraceno looks forward to moving his team to a more competitive league next season. But for now, he'll take victories like Friday's 35-0 Delphic League victory over visiting Whitney of Cerritos.

So will senior Brian Trump, who hit three home runs and collected seven RBI to pace the Mounties of Van Nuys, who scored 23 runs in the second inning and finished with 27 hits.

``The pitching wasn't real good, but he's got a lot of power,'' said Saraceno of Trump, who's received interest from Cal, Santa Barbara and UC San Diego. ``We don't play in a large park, but he hit one clean out of the place, into the street and onto someone's front lawn. I took him out of the game because I figured he got tired of running around the bases.''

Teammates Randy Morganstein (5 for 6, 5 runs, 3 RBI) and Daniel Millman (3 for 5, HR, 7 RBI) each contributed for the Mounties (13-4-1, 7-1), who remain tied for first in the league with two games remaining.

In other prep baseball:

--Valencia 11, Burbank 0: There was no letdown for host Valencia (20-4, 10-3), which pounded 16 hits in the Foothill League victory over last-place Burbank.

Jimmy Rohan hit a home run and tripled and finished with three RBI for the Vikings, who are tied with Canyon for first place in league with a two-game series with the Cowboys looming next week.

``No one expected us to be in this situation,'' Vikings coach Jared Snyder said. ``What we've done is take it one game at time. These kids are smart, they don't look past anybody.

``Hey, we've won 14 of our last 15 games, so we're playing with confidence. But we're going to have to play the best baseball of the season to have a chance next week against Canyon.''

--Simi Valley 7, Royal 2: Dylan Gaughen hit a two-run triple in the fourth inning and a three-run home run in the seventh for host Simi Valley, which remained in contention in the Marmonte League race with the victory over rival Royal of Simi Valley.

Gaughen, a sophomore, finished 2 for 3 with five RBI, and teammate Casey Gordon pitched a complete-game six-hitter for the Pioneers (16-11, 6-5).

--Agoura 3, Westlake 1: J.T. Trelatsky pitched six innings of one-hit ball to earn his sixth victory and lead visiting Agoura (13-6, 6-5) to the Marmonte League victory over Westlake.

--Village Christian 5, Kilpatrick 1: The game was called in the top of the fourth inning after Kilpatrick coach Don Freeman was ejected and his team was forced to forfeit. As a result, host Village Christian of Sun Valley (16-6, 4-2) remained in a tie for first place in the Alpha League.

--Oakwood 14, Buckley 8: Jacob Tepper hit for the cycle, finishing 5 for 5 with eight RBI as visiting Oakwood of North Hollywood (10-4, 7-3) won the Liberty League game.

--Harvard-Westlake 13, Chaminade 5: Brad Allen pitched four innings of two-hit ball to earn his third victory of the season, and teammate Josh Satin hit two home runs for Harvard-Westlake of Studio City in the Mission League victory at Pierce College.

--Camarillo 14, Hueneme 0: Justin Frash hit a home run and two doubles and finished with seven RBI for host Camarillo, which needs just one more victory to clinch its fifth Pacific View League title in six years.

Teammate Brad Boyer was 4 for 4 with a triple, double and five RBI for the Scorpions (23-4, 9-1).

--Oak Park 11, Carpinteria 3: Dustin Baxley and Morgan Williams each had four RBI for visiting Oak Park (17-4, 8-2), which remained in first place in the Tri-Valley League with the victory at Carpinteria.

--Crescenta Valley 12, Glendale 1: Kris Krise had 10 strikeouts and earned his seventh victory, and Aarron McGuiness and Trevor Bell each added two RBI for host Crescenta Valley (20-2, 11-1), which can clinch the Pacific League title with a victory Friday over Arcadia.

--Lancaster 22, Highland 7: Tim Culver was 4 for 4 with two home runs, including a grand slam, and finished with eight RBI for host Lancaster (10-12, 7-6) in a Golden League game.

In boys' tennis:

--Viewpoint 11, Oakwood 7: No. 1 singles player Geoffrey Chizever won each of his matches in straight sets as Viewpoint of Calabasas (15-1, 8-0) won its second consecutive Liberty League title.

In prep softball:

--La Canada 10, Monrovia 0: Kelly Kalish and Danielle Mellin combined to pitch a one-hitter for visiting La Canada (16-4-1, 10-1), which clinched its fourth consecutive Rio Hondo League title.

--Camarillo 3, Hueneme 2: Cambria Miranda and Beth Boskovich each had an RBI as Camarillo (19-5, 9-1) scored all of its runs in the first inning and held off host Hueneme of Oxnard in the Pacific View League game.

In boys' volleyball:

--Viewpoint d. Windward 3-0: Andrew Chizever had 22 kills, 19 assists and seven digs in the 15-6, 15-13, 15-7 victory for Viewpoint of Calabasas (14-1, 8-0), which earned its second consecutive Liberty League title and fifth in nine years.

--Signings: Hart High of Newhall senior Jennifer Parkes signed a letter of intent to Sacramento State and will play for the women's golf team. ... Kelsey Walker, a catcher for the El Camino Real of Woodland Hills softball team, has signed a letter of intent to play at Long Island University-CW Post.
