DAY IN SPORTS: LITTLEROCK'S YOUNG SETS HOMER RECORD.

Delwyn Young Delwyn Rudy Young (born June 30, 1982 in Los Angeles, California) is an outfielder in Major League Baseball who plays for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Young's three-run homer in the first inning, his ninth of the year, sailed deep over the center-field fence, sparking Littlerock to its first Golden League victory of the season.

One year ago, he led the region with 15 home runs. He had seven as a sophomore and two as a freshman. His father, Delwyn Sr., is a former hitting instructor for the JetHawks.

The younger Young hasn't committed to a university, but he recently went on a recruiting visit to San Diego San Diego (săn dēā`gō), city (1990 pop. 1,110,549), seat of San Diego co., S Calif., on San Diego Bay; inc. 1850.
