DAY IN SPORTS: L.A. BAPTIST SLIPS BY PARACLETE.

Evin Regensteif had 21 points, including four 3-pointers, and 10 rebounds to lead visiting L.A. Baptist past Paraclete 63-56 Thursday night in an Alpha League boys' basketball game that left the Knights (9-13, 5-2) in sole possession of second place.

Kyle Bauer added six points during an 18-11 fourth-quarter run by the winners; Daniel Acuna finished with 14 points for L.A. Baptist. Rob Fockaert had 11 points and seven steals, David Brown David Brown may refer to any of the following people:

Cervantes set a school record with his 58th career goal, his 18th this season, and Rio Mesa (16-3-4, 9-1) tied a school record for wins in a season.

Rebels keep winning: Taryn Hortin, Kellie Cox, Jodie Cox and Julie Gold scored for Golden League leader Quartz Hill (13-4-3, 8-0) in a 4-1 win over Highland, which dropped to 6-2 in league.
