DAY IN SPORTS: HART'S LOSS MIGHT PROVE TO BE COSTLY.

Byline: Daily News

Hart of Newhall girls' soccer coach Juan Arias was already disappointed after his team's stunning 2-1 loss Thursday at Burbank, which entered the game winless in Foothill League play.

But Arias felt even worse when he found out the Indians could miss the Southern Section playoffs entirely after Saugus clinched third-place in league despite losing 2-0 to Valencia earlier in the day.

Meanwhile, Shari Summers and Ashley Herrera scored a goal in each half for visiting Valencia (14-3-1, 7-2-1).
