``We hadn't been completely challenged in league (in our first two matches), but (Tuesday) we were,'' Tinkham said. ``We prepared for a really strong team and that's what we got.''

--Saugus wins Foothill League match: Saugus' Melanie De Leon and Grace Woo of Burbank both had 1-under-par rounds of 32 to share medalist honors at Vista Valencia Golf Course. Valencia's Stevy Loy and Stephanie Aston of Saugus finished in a tie for third with 1-over-par rounds of 34. Saugus won the team portion with a 198, followed by Burbank (207) and Hart of Newhall (211).
