DAY IN SPORTS: FARMAR'S 46 POINTS LEAD TAFT TO VICTORY.

Byline: Daily News

The Chatsworth High boys' basketball team knew it was going to be in for a long game Friday when Jordan Farmar Jordan Robert Farmar (born November 30, 1986) is an American professional basketball player at starting point guard for the NBA's Los Angeles Lakers.

He was previously the starting point guard for the UCLA men's basketball team.
scored 14 first-quarter points. The Taft of Woodland Hills senior didn't let up in the second quarter either, scoring 13 more.

``He got pretty hot,'' said Taft coach Derrick derrick: see crane.

Taylor of Farmar, who finished with 46 points in the host Toreadors' 76-55 West Valley League victory.

``Our main objective is to get him 20 to 25 shots a game. We recognized that he was shooting the ball extremely well and we started feeding him. When he has his thing going, it's hard for teams to beat us.''

That was the case Friday, when Farmar finished 13 of 23 from the field, 5 of 8 from 3-point range and 12 of 14 from the free-throw linem, adding four steals in three quarters of play.

His 46 points was a season high but not a career best - he scored 54 points against Valencia last season.
