DAY IN SPORTS: ELLIS ON TARGET IN CRESPI'S VICTORY.

Allan Ellis Allan Ellis (born August 19, 1951 in Los Angeles, California) was a cornerback who played nine seasons in the National Football League. Ellis attended UCLA.  of Crespi High of Encino totaled 27 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists Thursday night in a 67-56 victory over Alemany of Mission Hills in Mission League boys' basketball play.

Dino Sekaris and Uche Anyanwu added 10 each for defending Southern Section champion Crespi (11-12, 5-5). Ian Edwards Ian Edwards is a stand up comedian. He has appeared on Late Night With Conan O'Brien, Live at Gotham, and HBO's Bad Boys of Comedy. He can be seen weekly at the Laugh Factory in Los Angeles. On August 1, Gilbert Arenas used one of Edwards' jokes on his popular blog.  had 13 points to lead Alemany (4-16, 2-7).

--Kennedy 7, Van Nuys 1: Irene Hernandez scored twice as the Golden Cougars of Granada Hills (14-4-2, 8-0) clinched their third consecutive league title with a Valley Mission League victory at home.

This devotion is predominantly used in the Roman Catholic Church and also used in the Anglican Church.
 0: Jill Oakes scored twice as the Wolverines of Studio City (17-0-1, 7-0) won in Mission League play.

In boys' soccer:

--Loyola 3, Chaminade 1: Thomas Weigandt scored twice for the Cubs of Los Angeles (10-5-6, 6-0-3) in a Mission League win over the visiting Eagles of West Hills.

In girls' volleyball:

--Schnobrich resigns: Bill Schnobrich has resigned after six seasons as head coach at Village Christian of Sun Valley to accept a job as men's head soccer coach at Hope International University in Fullerton. Village Christian assistant coach Dana Wilson Dana Richard Wilson (b. 1946) is an American composer, jazz pianist, and teacher. Wilson currently resides in Ithaca, New York.

Wilson's music has been commissioned and performed by such ensembles as the Chicago Chamber Musicians, Detroit Chamber Winds and Strings, Buffalo
 has been named to replace Schnobrich, who had a 111-37 record and reached the Southern Section playoffs six times, twice advancing to the semifinals.
