--Quartz Hill 6, Lancaster 5: Matt Ware Matthew Jesse Ware (born December 2, 1982 in Santa Monica, California) is currently an American football defensive back in the NFL for the Arizona Cardinals. He was waived by the Philadelphia Eagles on September 2, 2006 and picked up by the Cardinals.  struck out eight and allowed five hits through five innings as he stopped Lancaster in his first start for host Quartz Hill in a Golden League game.

The Rebels (11-5, 5-1) nearly threw away Ware's shutout effort as they allowed the Eagles (2-4 in league) to score five runs in the final two innings to pull within one run.

Ware, a sophomore who has been used mainly as a reliever, helped his cause by hitting a double and scoring a run.

--Oaks Christian 10, Cornerstone Christian 0: Sara Radabaugh recorded 14 strikeouts and allowed one hit as the visiting Lions of Westlake Village improved to 3-0 in Condor League play and 13-1 overall.
