DAY IN SPORTS: CRESPI TIES NOTRE DAME IN MISSION.

The Mission League boys' soccer title race is going to be close.

St. Francis of La Canada Flintridge, one of the best teams in the area and ranked No. 6 by the Daily News, was upset for the second time this week Friday, losing 2-1 to No. 7 Crespi of Encino.

--Splish-splash: Junior Sammy Zuckerman scored six goals - raising her team-leading total to 34 points - and captain Kristin Kaplan added three goals and seven assists as Notre Dame of Sherman Oaks (6-3) beat Malibu 21-2 in its final nonleague match of the season.

--Girls' soccer commitments: Hart midfielder DeeDee Sanguinetti has committed to Fresno State. Chaminade midfielder Lauren Nussbaum will attend Columbia.
