The Crescenta Valley The Crescenta Valley is a small inland valley in Los Angeles County, California. Its name derives from its crescent-like shape, with the convex portion facing roughly northeast and the concave portion southwest.  of La Crescenta boys' tennis team trailed visiting Camarillo by one point heading into the final three doubles sets of a Southern Section Div. II first-round playoff match Saturday morning.

If the higher-seeded Falcons had lost one of those three sets, the match would have been over. But Crescenta Valley used teamwork to win all three sets and advance to Tuesday's second round.

The Falcons' No. 1 doubles team of Ryan Chang and Eric Veo defeated Camarillo's Joey Houshen and Ricky Alvarez to win the deciding set 7-5.

``Unfortunately, (Camarillo was) a lot better than I thought they would be,'' Crescenta Valley coach Sarah Wiggins said.

--Viewpoint 15, Villanova Prep 3: Host Viewpoint of Calabasas defeated Villanova Prep of Ojai in a Div A DIV Associate of Divinity . V opener, finishing what it couldn't during the regular season after a match between the two teams was cut short due to rain.
