DAY IN SPORTS: BAUER THROWS SEVEN OFF TEAM.

Littlerock High football coach Jim Bauer said Wednesday he has removed seven players from his team for the final two games of the season.

Bauer said the players, whom he wouldn't name, either were set to be academically ineligible in·el·i·gi·ble

``There's not a lot of time left in the season, and I want our seniors to go out feeling good about their experience in the program,'' said Bauer, who added that not all seven players were starters. ``And I want our younger guys to learn a little bit about commitment.''

In girls' golf:

--Marmonte League final: Agoura junior Maria Gamboa shot a final-round 41 at Sunset Hills CC to win the individual championship, giving Agoura a sweep of the four-round, 36-hole league championship as well as the regular season.

Coach Gary Gray's No. 2 Chargers finished 45-0 for the season after a final-round 231 gave them the league team title by 66 strokes over second-place Calabasas. Both teams advance to Tuesday's Southern Section team prelims at Santa Barbara Santa Barbara (săn'tə bär`brə, –bərə), city (1990 pop. 85,571), seat of Santa Barbara co., S Calif., on the Pacific Ocean; inc. 1850.  GC.

Gamboa (159 overall) finished four strokes ahead of Jennifer Haws of Thousand Oaks Thousand Oaks, residential city (1990 pop. 104,352), Ventura co., S Calif., in a farm area; inc. 1964. De Leon, who lost only one match in a 36-0 Saugus season, did not play in the individual final.

Saugus, ranked No. 3 by the Daily News, and No. 5 Valencia finished 1-2 in Foothill play and will represent the league in Tuesday's Southern Section team prelims at Santa Barbara GC.

--Granada Hills 187, Chatsworth 193: Sophomore Alyson Golditch took medalist honors at 3-over-par 40 at Encino GC to help No. 6 Granada Hills (12-1, 10-0) win a second consecutive Valley 1 League championship.

Lucy Davies shot 45 and Rebecca Villegas 51 for Granada Hills. Gloria Park shot 45, Alice Lee 46 and Hannah Chong 48 for No. 10 Chatsworth (8-2, 8-2), which will join defending City Section champion Granada Hills in this month's City final at Balboa Balboa, town (1990 pop. 2,751), Colón prov., in the former Panama Canal Zone, on the Gulf of Panama. The port for Panama City, Balboa was the administrative headquarters of the Panama Canal Zone. It was also the site of a U.S. navy base (closed 1999).  GC.

In boys' water polo water polo, swimming game encompassing features of soccer, football, basketball, and hockey. The object of the game is to maneuver, by head, feet, or hand, a leather-covered ball 27 to 28 in. :
