In boys' golf:

--In the 26nd Annual Palmdale Invitational: Highland of Palmdale's Brandon Olsson earned medalist honors with a two-over par round of 74 at the Crystalaire Country Club.

Olsson, a junior, shot a 33 on the back nine holes, including an eagle and four birdies. Teammates Pat Lodono (82) and Eugene Park (82) finished in 10th and 12th place respectively. Brent Buckingham of Canyon shot a round of 80 to finish in sixth place.
