The plaintiffs allege that the registration statement and prospectus for the Company's July 1993 initial public offering contained false and misleading statements. The plaintiffs also allege that the Company violated federal securities laws by artificially inflating the price of the Company's common stock through the issuance of false and misleading reports and press releases to the public.

Responding to the lawsuit, Kurt Mueller, chairman and chief executive officer of Dataware, stated, "The complaints contain factually incorrect statements and the allegations are without merit. We intend to vigorously contest the lawsuit."
