 DATALOGIX INTERNATIONAL STRENGTHENS PARTNERING
 AGREEMENT WITH THOROUGHBRED SOFTWARE INTERNATIONAL
VALHALLA, N.Y., Sept. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Datalogix International, Inc. and Thoroughbred Software International, Inc. (TSI) announced today a new and stronger strategic alliance designed to introduce ongoing technology enhancements to CIMPRO, Datalogix's integrated business and manufacturing software for process manufacturers.
By combining the industry and product knowledge of Datalogix with Thoroughbred's latest 3GL and 4GL development and reporting tools, the partnering enables CIMPRO customers to enjoy a flow of technology enhancements and improved levels of customer service.
The immediate focus of the agreement is an upcoming release of CIMPRO that will utilized the advanced features of Thoroughbred's Series 8 BASIC and will support Thoroughbred's IDOL-IV (a 4GL development environment), DICTIONARY-IV (a powerful data dictionary, database management system), REPORT-IV (a full-screen editor-based report generator), QUERY-IV (an SQL-based query tool), and SCRIPT-IV (a 4GL development language).
Over time, Datalogix will migrate the installed base of over 400 CIMPRO sites from their current release level into the Series 8 BASIC and IDOL-IV environments. As Datalogix continues to integrate Thoroughbred's new technology into CIMPRO, their Professional Services and Support organizations and TSI's consulting services will cooperatively provide training, product customization, and consulting services to Datalogix and its CIMPRO customers.
"This agreement leverages the strengths of both companies," according to David L. Stein, vice president of marketing at Datalogix. "The result is a more technologically robust core product and deeper base of service offerings for CIMPRO customers."
"The strengthened relationship between Datalogix and Thoroughbred is based on a comprehensive, customer-oriented approach that will deliver added capabilities and benefits to the current CIMPRO user base," said Terry Bradunas, vice president of Thoroughbred's consulting services division. "It will establish a more powerful development platform for Datalogix's future enhancement efforts with CIMPRO."
Bradunas stated further: "This is an unprecedented partnering between a software tools supplier and a vertical applications developer whose targets and goals are in direct line with the desires of the customer base. It's a win, win, win scenario that results in greater benefit to the customer, better product development toolset for Datalogix, and improved market presence for Thoroughbred."
