DATA BROADCASTING CORP. ANNOUNCES EUROPEAN DISTRIBUTION

 NEW YORK, March 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Data Broadcasting Corporation


(NASDAQ: DBCC) announced that under an agreement signed today its Signal product line is now available in Europe. DBC's financial market data services are being marketed in Europe via an arrangement with Data Consult Kraus, a German firm based in Frankfurt, Germany.
 Under the arrangement with Data Consult Kraus, Signal, an IBM- compatible PC-based product that receives and displays market information on a user-defined list of up to 55,000 securities at any one time, will initially be marketed in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
 Alan J. Hirschfield and Allan R. Tessler, DBC's co-chief executives, stated: "It is a significant milestone for DBC to enter the international market. Over the next several months we anticipate concluding further international joint ventures to meet the financial data needs of the global marketplace."
