DASTE TO HEAD FIELD AGENCY CITY EMPLOYEE WINS PROMOTION.

Byline: Daily News

SANTA CLARITA - Chris Daste, a 13-year city employee, has been named Santa Clarita's new director of field services.

Daste has served as the interim director of the department since Terri Maus left in July to become Santa Barbara County parks director.

``I am looking forward to the opportunity to continue to serve the residents of Santa Clarita,'' Daste said.

Since 1999, Daste has worked as city facilities manager, supervising a staff of 24 and managing a budget of more than $2.6 million.

``It is very gratifying to have a new department head trained right here in the city of Santa Clarita,'' the interim city manager, Ken Pulskamp, said.

Daste also has served as a management analyst and as a recreation supervisor in the city's Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department.
