Under the agreement, Dartek will sell, install and service NORAND(R) pen-based products.

Founded in 1988, Dartek is a leader in the development of custom pen-based data solutions. In addition to marketing the NORAND products, Dartek will provide on-site training and installation, software programming and support for Windows applications. "We selected Norand as an alliance partner because of the durability of their PEN*KEY products. We wanted to expand our applications for fire department automation to include fire ground solutions. In order to provide mobile data communication at the fire site, the units must be able to withstand all types of weather conditions and hostile environments. Of the hand-held computers we looked at, the PEN*KEY products were the best," says Lionel Henry, president of Dartek Systems, Inc.

The PEN*KEY products from Norand offer an array of data entry options unmatched by other pen computers. Users can enter data by touching the display screen with a stylus or fingertip fin·ger·tip
