DAQTRON INTRODUCES CABLE MODEM MANUFACTURING TEST SYSTEM.
DAQTron, Inc. has introduced the Cable Modem cable modem
Modem used to convert analog data signals to digital form and vise versa, for transmission or receipt over cable television lines, especially for connecting to the Internet. Manufacturing Test System (CMMTS) that is used to verify and test cable modems in a production process. The CMMTS is an integrated multi-station rack solution designed to reduce test time and operator error in the verification of cable modems. The system also has a single database/software server, which stores configuration files, logs results to a database, contains MAC addresses, and controls the Cable Modem Termination System A cable modem termination system or CMTS is equipment typically found in a cable company's headend, or at cable company hubsite and is used to provide high speed data services, such as cable internet or Voice over IP, to cable subscribers. (CMTS (Cable Modem Termination System) A computerized device that enables cable modems to send and receive packets over the Internet. It inserts IP packets from the Internet into MPEG frames and transmits them to the cable modems via an RF signal. ).
DAQTron has developed a highly configurable test suite that is ideal for testing the RF quality, network capabilities, and CMTS communication of various cable modem models. The CMMTS utilizes DAQTron's software suite, giving the end-user the flexibility needed to configure tests specific to individual manufacturing process needs.
Test coverage of this software includes:
* Tuner An electronic part of a radio or TV that locks on to a selected carrier frequency (station, channel) and filters out the audio and video signals for amplification and display. AGC AGC Automatic Gain Control
AGC Automotive Glass Cartridge (fuse)
AGC Associated General Contractors
AGC Associated General Contractors of America
AGC Atypical Glandular Cells
AGC Attorney-General's Chambers calibration calibration /cal·i·bra·tion/ (kal?i-bra´shun) determination of the accuracy of an instrument, usually by measurement of its variation from a standard, to ascertain necessary correction factors. .
* Upstream frequency accuracy.
* Power rail voltage verification.
* RF test suite including power level verification, flatness, and spurious spu·ri·ous
