The SCP Certification program sets the service quality benchmark for all information technology (IT) service support centers and help desks worldwide.

The certification program provides foundations for developing quality processes and a clear focus on measurable results for the IT services and support center. The certification process quantifies the effectiveness of customer support based on a stringent set of performance standards and the best practices in the industry.

These criteria are broken down into 101 detailed elements with specific measurable results. The criteria include customer relationship management, customer feedback, corporate commitment and strategic direction, people programs, training programs, performance metrics, automation tools, electronic service delivery, total quality management, R&D interface and sales interface.
