Fitzpatrick, President and Chief Executive Officer, has been named Indiana's Entrepreneur entrepreneur (än'trəprənûr`) [Fr.,=one who undertakes], person who assumes the organization, management, and risks of a business enterprise.  of the Year in the retail category in a competition sponsored by Ernst & Young LLP LLP - Lower Layer Protocol .

This is the tenth anniversary for the Entrepreneur of the Year Competition. Judging is based upon a number of considerations, including the financial performance of the nominee's company and the innovation and personal energy demonstrated by executives in starting and developing their respective firms.

Fitzpatrick entered the restaurant business at the age of 14, advancing rapidly to become a restaurant general manager at a Burger King restaurant by the age of 18. In 1981, at the age of 24, Fitzpatrick became one of the Burger King's youngest franchisees when he founded Quality Dining, Inc. through the acquisition of two units in Detroit, Michigan “Detroit” redirects here.
