Daniel married mother-of-two Majella McClelland, both 43, in November 2002 and the couple started trying for a baby shortly after. The star said: "If we had been able to have children together we would have been delighted and very happy. "I think we always knew it might not happen as we were that little bit older. "We're very happy as we are and we would have been happy to have a child too but that wasn't God's plan." The pair, who live in Kincasslagh, Co Donegal, are now content raising Majella's two teenage kids from a previous marriage. He told Woman's Way magazine: "I'm just delighted with Majella's kids Siobhan, 17, and Michael, 15, and having them is every bit as good as having children of my own. "They're both fantastic and we've been so lucky. When you're in a second relationship you hear things about how the children might react. "But there was never any period of difficulty for us." Daniel's millions of fans were convinced he would be always be a bachelor and the only woman in his life would be his beloved mum Julia. But when he met Majella in her parent's bar in Tenerife he knew he'd finally found "Finally Found" was the debut single from the Honeyz.
