DALY HEADS FOR DOCS AFTER 88 TROUBLED.

TROUBLED John Daly has hit an all-time low and will see his doctor before deciding whether to compete at next week's US PGA Championship.

Swing coach Rick Smith described Daly as being in a "toxic state" after seeing him shoot an 88 at the Buick Open.

Daly admitted: "I can't control my hands like I used to. I have no clue where it's going and it scares me."

Smith claims Daly's problems are massive weight loss, lack of sleep and the wrong kind of diet.

He said: "John hasn't eaten or slept in a week. His body needs food so it's going to the muscle and the muscle is breaking down. He's in a toxic state."

Daly, who has lost over 80 pounds in the last four months after having Lap-Band surgery, will go to Florida to see his doctor next week.
