COLLEGES

College of the Canyons College of the Canyons is one of the fastest-growing community colleges in the state. According to the National Junior College Research Association, College of the Canyons consistently ranks in the top 50 community colleges in the nation.  

As expected, the football team finished No. 2 in California in the JC Athletic Bureau's final poll after losing to top-ranked Reedley in the Community College Championship on Dec. 14.

Quarterback Kyle Bauer, who has committed to Weber State, was named first-team All-America and state Offensive Player of the Year. He was among four Cougars named to the Region III All-State team. Running back J.J. Arrington, receiver Tyrell Smith and lineman Chris Haynes were the others.

The Master's College History
The Master's College was founded as Los Angeles Baptist Theological Seminary on May 25, 1927 to meet the need for a fundamental Baptist school on the West Coast.

Junior quarterback Nate Longshore Nate Longshore (born June 30, 1986 in Canyon Country, California, U.S.) is an American football quarterback for the California Golden Bears. Longshore was an Elite-11 quarterback in high school and a 4-star recruit rated by Rivals.com and Scout.com."How Far ... , a 6-foot-4, 200-pounder who probably will be among the Southland's top college recruits next season, probably won't participate in any offseason scouting combines.

``I really don't believe in those things. They're not necessary,'' Canyon coach Harry Welch said. ``Believe me, by next season every college coach is going to know who Nate Longshore is.''
