COLLEGES

College of the Canyons College of the Canyons is one of the fastest-growing community colleges in the state. According to the National Junior College Research Association, College of the Canyons consistently ranks in the top 50 community colleges in the nation.  

The women's golf team travels to Bakersfield for a Western State Conference match at 8 a.m. Monday. The Lady Cougars (35-0), led by Desiree Banlowe, need three more victories to complete the regular season undefeated. The Southern California Southern California, also colloquially known as SoCal, is the southern portion of the U.S. state of California. Centered on the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, Southern California is home to nearly 24 million people and is the nation's second most populated region,  Finals are Nov. 11.

The Master's College History
The Master's College was founded as Los Angeles Baptist Theological Seminary on May 25, 1927 to meet the need for a fundamental Baptist school on the West Coast.
 

The women's volleyball team, coming off a three-game loss to Azusa Pacific, have the weekend off before resuming action Tuesday against Fresno Pacific at 7 p.m. at The Master's.

The Lady Mustangs (17-10, 7-7) have won three of their past four matches. Erika Sansoni and Lacey Gienger both had seven kills, and Erin Gaedke had five aces against Azusa Pacific.

Canyon

The girls' volleyball team (8-2, 4-2), coming off a five-set upset loss to Hart on Thursday, looks to regroup re·group

 at first-place Valencia at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Four regular-season matches remain before playoff seedings are announced.

Breanna Trudeau had 23 kills and four aces, and Mari Ruddick added 11 kills against Hart (6-7, 2-4).

Hart

Robbie Casselberry rushed for 233 yards and scored five touchdowns, including a 49-yarder, as the Hart freshman football team (7-0, 2-0) remained undefeated with a 41-21 victory Thursday at Canyon.

``Robbie had an amazing game. I've been here 13 years, and it was one of the biggest, if not the biggest, game anyone has ever had,'' coach Dan Cota said.

Jackson Smith, Adam Smith, Adam, 1723–90, Scottish economist, educated at Glasgow and Oxford. He became professor of moral philosophy at the Univ. of Glasgow in 1752, and while teaching there wrote his Theory of Moral Sentiments  Best, Bobby Martinez Bobby Martinez (born May 26, 1982) is a professional surfer from Santa Barbara, California. Though he is relatively new to the surfing world as a pro, his style often draws comparisons to that of legendary surfer Kelly Slater. Martinez began surfing at age 6. , Joseph Joo and J.T. Hartmire provided the blocking.

Hart continues Foothill League competition Thursday against visiting Burroughs of Burbank at 3:15 p.m.

Saugus

The boys' and girls' cross country teams compete at the Mt. San Antonio San Antonio (săn ăntō`nēō, əntōn`), city (1990 pop. 935,933), seat of Bexar co., S central Tex., at the source of the San Antonio River; inc. 1837.  Invitational in Walnut today. The Mt. SAC event is the largest cross country meet in the nation. The boys are 1-9 and the girls are 2-8 this season. Several other Foothill League teams, including reigning champion Canyon, are competing at Mt. SAC as well.

Valencia

Caroline Cornelius had 24 kills to help the girls' volleyball team remain in first place by beating defending Foothill League champion Saugus in four sets Thursday. The Vikings look to continue their solid play at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday against visiting Canyon.
