Quartz Hill

The Master's College baseball coach Monte Brooks has high hopes for pitcher Chad Spencer, a Quartz Hill product who transferred from Antelope Valley College.

Spencer, a right-hander, could crack the starting rotation but is more likely slated for bullpen duty given the Mustangs' returning veteran starting pitchers, Brad Hackworth and Phillip Gausepohl.

Spencer took last season off from baseball.
