The Antelopes' boys' basketball team travels to Highland tonight for the Golden League opener. The Antelopes finished at the bottom of the league last season with a 3-7 record but are favored to take the crown after a 12-4 preseason. The Antelopes advanced to the final in two preseason events, winning the Ventura tournament. Highland (8-5) finished third in the league year.

Varsity boys basketball opens its Golden League schedule tonight (7 p.m.) with a home game against Antelope Valley.

The Bulldogs are led by Mike Stevenson and Tre Peters, who both had strong showings in the Hart tournament over winter break. Antelope Valley, which finished fifth in league last season, is led by senior guard Ollie Ollie may refer to the following:
  • Shortened form of the given name Oliver
  • Ollie (skateboarding trick), the skateboarding trick invented by Alan "Ollie" Gelfand
  • Ollie Impossible, a variant of the trick first performed by Rodney Mullen

Lancaster

The girls' soccer team opens Golden League play today at home against defending league champion Quartz Hill.

The Eagles, last year's league runner-up, are coming off one of their best games of the season but need to hope a week off after defeating Sultana for the championship of the Lancaster tournament doesn't affect their momentum.

The game starts at 4:30 p.m.

Littlerock

The boys' basketball team, coming off a 21-point nonleague victory over Burroughs of Burbank, opens Golden League competition at 7 tonight against visiting Palmdale.

The Lobos are 8-7, which is better than they were at this point last season, when they entered league play at 6-11. Tim Anderson Tim Anderson may be:

The varsity girls' soccer team is finally starting to win some games, and it couldn't have come at a better time. The Spirits open Alpha League play this week and coach Paul Salazar is happy Paraclete is finally showing some signs of life after an 0-8 start.

``The team has been really working together and playing good,'' said Salazar, whose team went on to win three in a row after its bad start. ``We've really been stepping up and playing some solid games.''

Quartz Hill

Golden League play gets rolling in three sports today Sports Today is a long-running radio show on Melbourne, Australia radio station 3AW.

It currently airs on Monday to Thursday between 6pm-8pm and is hosted by Gerard Healy and Dwayne Russell.

Previously, it was hosted by the late David Hookes and Gerard Healy.
 for the Rebels. Both basketball and the girls' soccer teams will play Lancaster in their respective openers. The girls' soccer team will try to defend their Golden League championships in against the Eagles. Lancaster figures to be the Rebels' biggest challenger.

The boys' basketball team should also have a tough matchup against the Eagles when the teams meet at 7 p.m. at Quartz Hill. Lancaster is the defending league champion. The girls' basketball team travels to Lancaster at 7 p.m.
