COLLEGES

College of the Canyons College of the Canyons is one of the fastest-growing community colleges in the state. According to the National Junior College Research Association, College of the Canyons consistently ranks in the top 50 community colleges in the nation.  

The men's and women's basketball Women's basketball is one of the few games which developed in tandem with men's. It became popular, spreading from the east coast of the United States to the west coast, in large part via women's colleges.  teams each lost by two points on the road in the first round of the Southern California Southern California, also colloquially known as SoCal, is the southern portion of the U.S. state of California. The men (18-9) fell 66-64 at College of the Desert, and the women (16-12) were defeated 81-79 in overtime at Antelope Valley College Antelope Valley College is a comprehensive community college located in Lancaster, California, USA. It is operated by the Antelope Valley Community College District, with a primary service area of 1,945 square miles covering portions of Los Angeles and Kern counties. .

The Master's College History
The Master's College was founded as Los Angeles Baptist Theological Seminary on May 25, 1927 to meet the need for a fundamental Baptist school on the West Coast.
 

The men's basketball team (17-11), coming off an 85-75 victory over visiting Cal Baptist on Saturday, has won three of its past four heading into the regular-season finale against visiting Christian Heritage at 7:30 tonight at Bross Gym.

HIGH SCHOOLS

Canyon

Former baseball standout Matt McQueen is the starting first baseman as a freshman at Biola University of La Mirada. The 6-foot-4 McQueen is batting .211 with one double and one stolen base in 19 at-bats, helping the team to a 6-2-1 record. McQueen is one of four freshman on the roster.

Hart

Right-handers Jessica Fridwell, Stephanie Bronson and Christy Lincoln are expected to pitch in a softball scrimmage against Royal of Simi Valley at 3:30 today at Newhall Park.

Saugus

Returning baseball standout Thomas Milone made a good impression during a scrimmage doubleheader at Westlake on Saturday. The senior left-hander was the starting pitcher in the first game and allowed one hit and one earned run and struck out five in four innings. He also drove in the team's only run in a 4-1 loss.

Valencia
