Antelope Valley College Antelope Valley College is a comprehensive community college located in Lancaster, California, USA. It is operated by the Antelope Valley Community College District, with a primary service area of 1,945 square miles covering portions of Los Angeles and Kern counties.  

After redshirting and sitting out the 1999-2000 season, former Marauders basketball standout John Burrell John Buster Burrell (born November 22, 1940 in Fort Worth, Texas) was an American football wide receiver in the NFL for the San Francisco 49ers, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Washington Redskins. Sarah Sichley scored four goals at the Garces tournament in Bakersfield to help the girls' soccer team finish sixth out of a field of 16 teams.

The Antelopes were 2-2-1 in the tournament, the highlights of which were a 3-0 victory over Hanford West and a 2-0 win over Bakersfield South.

Highland

The boys' basketball team, coming off a loss to Saugus on Tuesday, will break for the holidays and will not play again until next weekend, when it plays host for their own tournament.

The Bulldogs, led by senior guard Gabriel Stevenson, begin Golden League play Jan. 5 against Palmdale.

Lancaster

The girls' basketball team gets plenty of time to rest and prepare for a Golden League race in which it hopes to improve on last season's last-place finish. The Eagles are off until a Jan. 2 game at Tehachapi. They begin league two days later against Antelope Valley.

Sisters DeAnna and Desiree Butler combined with returning senior starters Brittanie Radcliff and Shawonna Ross form the heart of the team that already has more wins than it had all of last season, when it went 3-15.

Littlerock

The girls' basketball team finished pool play in the Simi Valley Simi Valley (sē`mē, sĭm`ē), city (1990 pop. 100,217), Ventura co., SW Calif. in an oil, fruit, and farm region; laid out 1887, inc. 1969.  tournament on Wednesday with a 63-60 victory over Grant, which evened the Lobos' record at 1-1 for the tournament.

Rashawna Mays scored 24 points as the Lobos took an eight-point halftime lead and held on for the victory. They will play consolation games today and Saturday.

The boys' basketball team was scheduled to play host to Valencia in anonleague game Thursday night, but refinishing Refinishing in woodworking and decorative arts means fixing or redoing the finishing paint, varnish or other top coating of an object, from resanding to new paint and new varnish. Quartz Hill

Quartz Hill product Kenya Corley leads the Cal women's basketball team back into action tonight against San Diego State. Corley, a senior guard, has started all eight games for the Bears, averaging 9.5 points and 3.1 rebounds.

Corley is on par with her season totals as a junior, when she averaged 10.5 points for Cal. The Bears are 3-5 overall entering tonight's 7 p.m. game at San Diego State's Cox Arena.
