With only one returner - Jonathan Nave - back from last season, the men's basketball team had plenty of questions heading into this season.

How would 12 new faces respond to each other? Who would be the leader? Could this team find a way to win?

With an 11-5 record, the Marauders have answered most of those questions and are playing well as they prepare for Foothill Conference play, which begins Jan. 2.

``We've had some confrontations and people were butting heads from time to time. But now we've come together,'' sophomore center Damien Seals said. ``We've proven that we can all go out and play with heart.''
