COLLEGES

College of the Canyons College of the Canyons is one of the fastest-growing community colleges in the state. According to the National Junior College Research Association, College of the Canyons consistently ranks in the top 50 community colleges in the nation.  

Despite winning the Western State Conference championship with an 18-8 record, the men's basketball team must hit the road for the first round of the Southern California Southern California, also colloquially known as SoCal, is the southern portion of the U.S. state of California. Centered on the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, Southern California is home to nearly 24 million people and is the nation's second most populated region,  Regional playoffs. The Cougars, led by Houston-bound Carlton Spencer, open at 7 p.m. Friday at College of the Desert.

The Master's College History
The Master's College was founded as Los Angeles Baptist Theological Seminary on May 25, 1927 to meet the need for a fundamental Baptist school on the West Coast.
 

The women's basketball Women's basketball is one of the few games which developed in tandem with men's.     Hart

    The boys' basketball team is the last remaining Foothill League team in the Southern Section playoffs. The Indians (17-12) host Long Beach Jordan (19-7) in the Div. I-AA quarterfinals at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Hart.

    The semifinals are scheduled for Tuesday at neutral sites, and the championship game is March 5 at Arrowhead Pond. Hart last reached a final in 1955, and the school has never won a boys' basketball title.

    Saugus

    Ace pitcher Thomas Milone is expected to pitch three or four innings during a baseball scrimmage at 10 a.m. Saturday at Westlake. The season opener against visiting Calabasas is at 3 p.m. on March 4.

    Valencia

    The boys' basketball team's season ended with a 72-68 loss at Lakewood in the second round of the Southern Section Div. I-AA playoffs Tuesday. The Vikings (21-8) will return several key players next season, including point guard Erick Sevilla, forward Teddy Goetz and centers Donjay Kakonde and Kevin Delange.

    Key reserve K.C. Arbogast, Chet Wyche, Jason Nicholson, Matthew Williams and Christian Blueford also return.
