COLLEGES

College of the Canyons College of the Canyons is one of the fastest-growing community colleges in the state. According to the National Junior College Research Association, College of the Canyons consistently ranks in the top 50 community colleges in the nation.

 from Frazier Mountain Frazier Mountain is a mountain (or peak) that is located near Frazier Park, California and Lake of the Woods, California to the north. Frazier Mountain is 8,026 feet (2446 m)  High, has been named to the JC Gridwire All-American team.

With one game remaining, Thompkins has made 15 field goals in 18 attempts, tying Josh Cummings' 2003 school single-season record. Thompkins also is 60 of 66 on PATs.

The Master's College History
The Master's College was founded as Los Angeles Baptist Theological Seminary on May 25, 1927 to meet the need for a fundamental Baptist school on the West Coast.
 

Two players from the United Kingdom are on the men's basketball roster this season: junior forward James Noel from London, and senior forward/center Chris Sanders from West Midlands West Midlands, former metropolitan county, central England. Created in the 1974 local government reorganization, the county embraced the Birmingham conurbation and comprised seven metropolitan districts: Walsall, Wolverhampton, Dudley, Sandwell, Birmingham, Solihull, . Noel is averaging 1.5 points in 10 minutes per game, and Sanders is averaging 7.7 points in 20 minutes.

HIGH SCHOOLS

Canyon

The fifth annual Canyon Classic boys' basketball tournament continues today, and the championship game is scheduled for 4 p.m. Saturday. Eleven teams are participating, including Canyon and Valencia.

Hart

U.S. Olympic gold Olympic Gold is the official video game of the XXV Olympic Summer Games, hosted by Barcelona, Spain in 1992. It was released for the Sega consoles, Mega Drive/Genesis and Master System, and Sega's handheld, Game Gear.  medalist Crystl Bustos (Canyon High) and national team player Nicole Giordano (Saugus High) are scheduled to participate in the third annual Christmas Softball Clinic on Dec. 18-20 at Newhall Park.

Saugus

Valencia

The cold, rainy weather this week isn't a problem for the football team, which is preparing for the Southern Section Div. II championship game against top-seeded Mission Viejo Mission Vi·e·jo  

A community of southern California southeast of Irvine. It is mainly residential. Population: 96,300.
 (13-0) at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Angel Stadium.

``We're trying not to let the weather bother us. Our quarterback can throw the ball, and our receivers can catch because there's always someone to keep the footballs dry,'' coach Brian Stiman said. ``Plus, the FieldTurf gives great footing in the rain. The only problem is it's just cold, but the rain has no effect.''
