COLLEGES

College of the Canyons College of the Canyons is one of the fastest-growing community colleges in the state. According to the National Junior College Research Association, College of the Canyons consistently ranks in the top 50 community colleges in the nation.  

The football team's defense figures to be put to the test in the Southern California Southern California, also colloquially known as SoCal, is the southern portion of the U.S. state of California. Centered on the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, Southern California is home to nearly 24 million people and is the nation's second most populated region,  Regional final at Saddleback Saddleback

Saddleback quarterback Colt Brennan Colton James Brennan (born August 16, 1983 in Laguna Beach, California) is an American football quarterback at the University of Hawaiʻi. , who threw for 326 yards in a semifinal victory over Long Beach last week, is a freshman Colorado transfer who directs an offense that averages 32.4 points per game.

College of the Canyons (12-0) counters with Cory Miles, who has passed for 2,765 yards and 22 touchdowns.

The Master's College History
The Master's College was founded as Los Angeles Baptist Theological Seminary on May 25, 1927 to meet the need for a fundamental Baptist school on the West Coast.
 

The women's basketball Women's basketball is one of the few games which developed in tandem with men's. It became popular, spreading from the east coast of the United States to the west coast, in large part via women's colleges.  team (3-0) doesn't play another home game until Jan. 6, a stretch of 48 days since its only previous home game Nov. 18. But the team should enjoy its trip to Maui, Hawaii, to play two games beginning Dec. 19.

Canyon

It's a busy start for the boys' basketball team, in the midst Adv. 1. in the midst - the middle or central part or point; "in the midst of the forest"; "could he walk out in the midst of his piece?"

 of a stretch that sees the team play 10 games over 13 days. After finishing the Saugus tournament Saturday, the Cowboys play at Antelope Valley on Monday, followed by the three-day Canyon tournament beginning Tuesday.

Hart

As expected, high-scoring returning guards Ashlee Trebilcock and Taylor Lilley are off to a good start for the girls' basketball team. UCLA-bound Trebilcock scored 19 points and Lilley added 18 in an opening 64-43 victory over visiting Palmdale on Tuesday.

Hart has eight days off before participating in the Buena tournament in Ventura beginning Wednesday against Westlake.

Saugus

The boys' soccer team, coming off a 3-2 opening victory Tuesday over Moorpark, participates in the Burroughs tournament in Burbank beginning today. Matt Wright scored two goals against Moorpark.

Valencia

It looks as if twin towers Kevin Delange (6-foot-10) and Donjay Kakonde (6-8 1/2) will continue to split time for the boys' basketball team this season. Both made their debut in a 71-44 victory over Santa Paula in first round of the Simi Valley tournament Tuesday.

``They're pretty equal, so we'll alternate them,'' coach Rocket Collins said. ``I might even play both at the same time. We'll see how it goes.''
