DAILY NEWS TABS HASSE AS HEAD OF CIRCULATION.

Ron Hasse, a nine-year veteran of the Daily News' circulation department, was promoted to circulation director effective today.

The appointment was announced by Publisher Ike Massey.

``Ron Hasse has the experience, insight and intelligence to take over this very important position at the Daily News,'' Massey said. ``We are fortunate to be able to promote him from within the paper.''

Hasse, 32, is a graduate of California State University, Northridge CSUN offers a variety of programs leading to bachelor's degrees in 61 fields and master's degrees in 42 fields. The university has over 150,000 alumni. It's also home to a summer musical theater/theater program known as TADW (TeenAge Drama Workshop) that leads teenagers through an . He has worked at the Daily News since 1990, most recently serving as the circulation operations manager See datacenter manager. .

The Chicago native has held a number of management positions in the Daily News' circulation department. Earlier he worked at the Hammond (Ind.) Times and the Chicago Tribune Chicago Tribune

Hasse replaces Martha Thompson, who is returning to her native Midwest where she will become circulation director of The Grand Rapids Press The Grand Rapids Press is a daily newspaper published in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It is the largest of the eight Booth newspapers. It is sold for $.50 daily and $1.75 on Sunday.  in Michigan.
