VOLUNTEERISM: Since 1978, Perriere has been helping Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic by recording the most important French books and college textbooks. To become a volunteer, he was asked to read in French to check his proficiency. Of course, he passed the test. HOW DID YOU GET INVOLVED?: A friend told him about the organization, and he wanted to help students who could not read because of vision problems. WHY DO YOU VOLUNTEER?: ``To be nice to people, and I think that students are worth the effort.'' BIGGEST DILEMMA: ``Getting old.'' MOST DIFFICULT DAILY TASK: ``Doing the dishes.'' BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: ``Not being able to work as a musician.'' GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENT: ``It's difficult to say, since I've accomplished many things being a musician.''
