Clever recently has worked with the H.E.L.P. organization, helping disabled and abandoned children learn to read and taking them on field trips. She also has worked with the Global Volunteers organization - through the group last year, she taught English to children in Poland. And she has helped build houses for Habitat for Humanity Habitat for Humanity, nonprofit ecumenical Christian organization that enables low-income people to own affordable, livable housing. Headquartered in Americus, Ga., it was founded in 1976 by businessman Millard Fuller and his wife. .

WHO RELIES ON YOU THE MOST?: ``A lot of people rely on me, but when I die, they'll get along without me.''

ROLE MODELS: ``Roberta Weintraub, past president of Los Angeles Unified School District The Los Angeles Unified School District (the "LAUSD") is the largest (in terms of number of students) public school system in California and the second-largest in the United States. Only the New York City Department of Education has a larger student population.  Board of Education. (She's a) go-getter, efficient, and she doesn't sit and cry when things go wrong. I admired her and also my mother. She raised us with wholesome neglect. She didn't have a lot of do's and don'ts. She just let us grow.''

FAVORITE VALLEY HANGOUTS: ``The Mayflower Mayflower, ship
Mayflower, ship that in 1620 brought the Pilgrims from England to New England. She set out from Southampton in company with the Speedwell,
 Club in North Hollywood. We play bridge and all sorts of activities. I call it the social area of the Valley.''

FAVORITE FOODS: ``I enjoy sweets.''

FAVORITE ACTIVITIES: ``Playing tennis, bridge and volunteering.''

LAST MOVIE YOU SAW: ``I saw `Evita,' but I walked out on it. I had high expectations and the movie didn't live up to them.''
