DAILY NEWS PEOPLE : LOUISE LEWIS.Lewis has been a volunteer for Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center for many years. She started as a candy striper can·dy strip·er n. A volunteer worker in a hospital. in 1963 at age 16, and she hasn't stopped since. Serving in almost every volunteer capacity, from working in the gift shop to serving on practically every position of the volunteer guild board, Lewis currently is the president of that guild board, providing leadership to all of the 350 volunteers at the hospital. She's involved in pastoral care.
