WHY DO YOU VOLUNTEER?: ``I've always been interested in working with children because they're the future of tomorrow and I want to make a difference in their lives. Basically, I want to give back to my community. I wanted to show that, even though I'm not an adult, I can still make an active participation in the community and in others' lives.'' WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED BY VOLUNTEERING?: ``I've learned qualities within myself that I didn't see before. I've learned to be more compassionate. There are things that need to be changed (in the world) and you can't just sit back and let other people do it.'' MOST DIFFICULT DAILY TASK: ``Doing my pre-calculous homework. I like it, but sometimes I don't understand some of the concepts.'' FAVORITE DAILY TASK: ``There are so many good things I do in a day, I really can't single out one. Right when I open my eyes, I get excited because it's another day to learn something new.'' WHAT DO YOU LIKE BEST ABOUT SCHOOL?: ``I like the atmosphere and the people are very friendly. The teachers always take the time to help; they're very supportive.'' WHAT DO YOU LEAST LIKE ABOUT SCHOOL?: ``I wish I had more of school, so that I could have a chance to take other classes.'' GOALS FOR THE FUTURE: ``My goals are to continue helping people and to be successful in my life, not so much financially, more in terms of spiritually and maybe raising a family.''
