CHILDREN: Christopher, 18, and Jackie, 16. ``They're great kids that share their parents with a lot of people. We can't do what we do without their support and continued interest. The children have made sacrifices for our ministries,'' Anna said.

VOLUNTEERISM: The couple works nearly seven days a week at the Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Center. ``We get them when they hit rock bottom and they have nowhere else to turn. We get a lot of former prisoners. They're hard-core addicts of crack and heroin. Their families are not interested in speaking with them,'' Jack said.

PETS: A 16-week-old chow puppy named Polani Pilialoha (Hawaiian for beautiful beloved companion). ``She's a challenge. She's just like a toddler, and she does those puppy things, chewing and running off with our shoes. We recently lost our 10-year-old dog and replaced him with the puppy,'' Anna said.

GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENT: ``To see someone like Leslie-Anne Quinn come through the program and celebrate two years of sobriety and to have a successful life. For some of the beneficiaries (people attending the programs) to rejoin their families after their families have suffered through years of abuse. To pick up the phone and call former beneficiaries who have made it,'' Jack said.

GOALS FOR THE FUTURE: ``In the next five years, to have 120 beds, from our current 80-bed facility. Needs in the Valley are significant for this type of free program. The center's operation relies strictly upon the sale of thrift-shop merchandise to survive; there's no government funding,'' Jack said.

WHO RELIES ON YOU THE MOST AND WHO DO YOU RELY ON: ``We rely upon each other,'' Jack said.

THEIR ROLE MODELS: Lt. Col. Dave and Lois Allen, who they have known for 20 years. ``For 45 years, they've been doing what we're doing now. They're good friends and role models,'' Anna said.

THEIR VICES: ``I love groceries. I like well-prepared food. I like to ride my Honda 900 motorcycle, anytime I can get away with my wife. That's an escape. It's something that the two of us can do together, go up to the mountains,'' Jack said.

. We usually work at the center from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, with some Saturday hours, and chapel services on Sundays,'' Jack said.

FAVORITE FOODS: ``We love cultural food. Every kind of food that you can imagine. We like to go to new places and try out the various foods. I love anything that's chocolate. During my pregnancies, I used them as an excuse to get sundaes,'' Anna said. ``Anna used to like to eat jalapeno peppers and ice cream when she was pregnant. We would have nachos with the peppers and then ice cream. Italian food is my favorite My Favorite is an independent synthpop band from Long Island, New York. They released two CDs: Love at Absolute Zero and Happiest Days of Our Lives. My Favorite broke up on September 14, 2005, when singer Andrea Vaughn left the band. . My favorite dessert is lemon souffle souffle /souf·fle/ (soo´f'l) a soft, blowing auscultatory sound.

WHAT MAGAZINES AND BOOKS THEY READ: Jack likes to read novels by Max Lucado, a Christian author. Anna likes to read Better Homes & Gardens and House Beautiful.

LAST MOVIE SHE SAW: ``Mr. Holland's Opus.'' ``That was good movie. It was a feel-good movie. He was doing what we're doing - taking a problem and doing whatever is necessary to help the students,'' Anna said.

FAVORITE TV SHOWS: Jack's favorite TV shows are ``Coach'' and ``Home Improvement.'' Anna watches only ``Touched by an Angel.''

WHAT MUSIC THEY LISTEN TO: Anna likes inspirational music, along with music of Amy Grant Amy Lee Grant (born November 25 1960 in Augusta, Georgia) is an American singer-songwriter, best known for her Contemporary Christian music and pop music, as well as an author and occasional actress.  and Bette Midler Bette Midler (born December 1 1945) is an American singer, actress and comedienne, also known to her fans as The Divine Miss M. She is named after the actress Bette Davis although Davis pronounced her first name in two syllables, and Midler uses one. . Jack enjoys classical music, especially Tchaikovsky, and also listens to James Taylor

WHAT WOULD BE A PERFECT DAY FOR YOU: ``Take a motorcycle ride to the lake, fish and have a picnic; to be alone together. Come down in the evening, see a Broadway musical and then have a candlelight dinner,'' Jack said.

HER IDEA OF A PERFECT VACATION: ``To get the kids together and do something as a family,'' Anna said. Jack hopes to take Anna on an Alaskan cruise for their 25th wedding anniversary.

WHAT THE WORLD NEEDS NOW IS: Jack said, ``We need an understanding and an acceptance of the continuing differences in people. We live in a time where it's a melting pot melting pot
