DAILY NEWS PEOPLE : BEBE SIMON.Simon is a hands-on volunteer who is involved in many ways to help her community. For 20 years, Simon has volunteered to do everything from counseling recently widowed senior citizens to helping them fill out necessary forms at the Freda Mohr Jewish Family Service Center in the Fairfax District of Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850. . One of her pet projects for the center has been the 500-recipe cookbook (programming) cookbook - (From amateur electronics and radio) A book of small code segments that the reader can use to do various magic things in programs. Simon organized, edited and even tested the recipes. It is a matter of being able to fund programs for child abuse and families that are in need.'' MOST DIFFICULT DAILY TASK: ``Saying `no.' There is a limit to what I can do.'' HOW DO YOU DEFINE SUCCESS?: ``To be fulfilled personally while also accomplishing and implementing things you want to do. I am on the way.'' FAVORITE VALLEY HANGOUTS: ``Cafe Bizou and the Cheesecake Factory, because I like eclectic food.'' FAVORITE ACTIVITIES: ``Reading and gardening. I have an herb garden that is my pride and pleasure.'' HOBBIES: ``I like to collect antiques, paperweights and china.'' WHAT WOULD BE A PERFECT DAY FOR YOU?: ``A whole day with my grandchildren GRANDCHILDREN, domestic relations.
