Ruben Zuniga started a five-run fourth inning rally with a bases loaded triple, scoring Johnny Contreras and Steve Luna. Eddie Morfin had an RBI single to tie the score and Ivan Gonzalez followed with a two out two-run double to give Sylmar a 6-4 lead.

Contreras' solo home run in the seventh sparked a six-run rally. Morfin added a two-run double shortly thereafter and Gonzalez had an RBI single to cap the scoring.
