DAILY NEWS ADDS VCR PLUS+ CODES.

Dear Readers:

Starting today, the Daily News adds VCR Plus+, the quickest way to program your VCR to record programs.

VCR Plus+ codes will appear on all grids in the TV Book as well as those on the weekday TV pages published Monday through Saturday in L.A. Life.

With VCR Plus+, each program has a simple code so by plugging those numbers into your VCR, you're able to quickly set the machine for recording.

VCR Plus+ was once an add-on device, but it's now built in to most VCRs. The Daily News had sought to publish the codes when they were first introduced, but but they have only now become available to the newspaper.

A full explanation of how to use the codes and how to set up your VCR can be found in the TV Book.

To accommodate the VCR Plus+ numbers, each day's listings have been expanded by one full page grid. Other changes include moving the popular movie listings to the front of the TV Book.

Adding VCR Plus+ is the Daily News' latest effort to give you an even better Sunday newspaper.
