DAIGLE FINALLY GETS WIN JETHAWKS 10, SAN BERN. 3.

Byline: Gideon Rubin Staff Writer

LANCASTER - Casey Daigle's two and a half months of frustration finally are over.

The JetHawks' staff ace got his first victory since April 25 as the JetHawks defeated the San Bernardino Stampede 10-3 in front of 2,068 at Lancaster Municipal Stadium.

Daigle (3-9) ended a stretch of 13 consecutive starts, during which he was 0-8, without a victory.

Daigle allowed three unearned runs and five hits in 6 2/3 innings. He struck out five batters and allowed two walks.

He allowed just two hits in his first six innings, but was chased from the game in the top of the seventh after allowing three runs on two walks and three hits. A one-out error by JetHawks shortstop Joandry Berroa started the inning.

The JetHawks took a 3-0 lead in the second on Chris Snyder's two-run homer - his third since joining the team in late June and his first of three extra-base hits in the game.

Snyder had an RBI double in the third and a two-run double in a three-run seventh that made it 8-3.

--Matchup: Right-hander Phil Stockman (2-2, 3.66 ERA) will pitch for the JetHawks tonight when they open a three-game road series against San Bernardino tonight at 7. Left-hander Russ Morgan (10-3, 3.04) will pitch for the Stampede.
