ARLINGTON, Texas, Dec. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- D.R. Horton, Inc. (NASDAQ: DRHI), today reported a 98 percent increase in net sales contracts signed during October and November of 1993, over the same period of 1992, with significant increases achieved in each operating region. For the two-month period, net sales contracts signed totaled $55.5 million (333 homes) compared to $28.1 million (166 homes) for 1992. Donald R. Horton, chairman and president, said, "We are extremely pleased with our sales momentum and believe that our record backlog provides a solid foundation for fiscal 1994. While inclement weather and development delays have postponed some first quarter closings, we are confident that we can exceed analyst expectations for the 1994 fiscal year."
D.R. Horton, Inc., is engaged in the construction and sale of high quality, single-family homes with custom features designed principally for the entry-level and move-up markets in the Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, Southeast, Southwest, and Western regions of the United States.
