D.C. Chapter solicits contributions for ROTC.NDIA's Washington, D.C. Chapter currently is seeking contributions for its ROTC scholarship fund, according to according to prep. 1. Hay and retired Army Lt. Col. Douglas D. Stewart. This year, the letter said, the organization is awarding 12 merit-based scholarships to college students enrolled in the Reserve Officers Training Corps. The grants, totaling $22,500, are funded by corporate and personal contributions from the chapter's board of directors, individual members and even non-members. Awardees are ROTC cadets and midshipmen from the following programs in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area: George Mason University Named after American revolutionary, patriot and founding father George Mason, the university was founded as a branch of the University of Virginia in 1957 and became an independent institution in 1972.
