Tschetter earned a bachelor's degree from Bethel University[1] in psychology and social studies.

Tschetter would serve as the 17th Peace Corps Director, overseeing an agency with 7,810 volunteers and trainees serving in 75 countries. Tschetter would replace Gaddi Vasquez Ambassador Gaddi Holguin Vasquez (born January 22 1955) is the 8th United States Representative to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, in Rome, Italy. He was nominated by President George W. , who has been named U.S. representative to the United Nations food and agriculture programs.

Tschetter will continue as President of D.A. Davidson & Co. until the Senate has approved his nomination. At that time, Johnstone will assume Tschetter's responsibilities, working closely with other senior managers.

"Ron was brought on board to expand the expertise and strength of D.A. Davidson & Co. and particularly our Private Client Group, and to continue the firm's development," said Johnstone. "With that initiative successfully under way, we're confident we can continue to build upon the momentum that Ron has created."

Tschetter was named President of D.A. Davidson & Co. in May 2004, after being elected to the Davidson Companies Board of Directors in January 2004. Previously, he served as President of the Private Client Group for Dain Rauscher (now RBC RBC red blood cell.
