Automaker to Support Promotional Efforts of New Distribution Company's Upcoming U.S. Releases

Major German automobile manufacturer. It was founded in 1937 to mass-produce a low-priced “people's car” (Volkswagen). After World War II the company was rebuilt with Allied help, and within a decade it was producing half of West Germany's
 (Wolfsburg, Germany), which will enable the world's #1 automaker to support the marketing of D Street's upcoming slate of U.S. releases. The partnership will take effect in March 2007 with the debut of the German film "Summer in Berlin," directed by Andreas Dresen. The film will open in New York, Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  and San Francisco, and promotional and marketing efforts will include a New York "screening event."
